Amerisource Makes 2000 Houston 100 List

Release date: August 20, 2000

Houston, TX – Amerisource announces that it has been recognized as one of Houston’s 100 fastest growing private companies by the University of Houston Small Business Development Center for fiscal years 1997-1999.

The Houston 100 rankings were announced today at a celebratory luncheon at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.  Over 1,000 people in the Houston area business community attended the luncheon, which was sponsored by Comerica Bank, Southwestern Bell, the Houston Business Journal and the Greater Houston Partnership.

The Houston 100 is an annual index created and released by the University of Houston Small Business Development Center and published by the Houston Business Journal.  The index celebrates the 100 fastest growing privately held businesses in the greater Houston area, as measured by revenue growth over the previous three-year period.

Jason Floyd, Managing Director, commented “We’re very honored to be here today.  To be recognized as one of the top 100 companies in a thriving city like Houston is really exciting.”  Floyd added “The year 2000 will be another banner year for Amerisource — look for us again next year!”
