Amerisource Receives ICIC’s “Texas Inner City 10” Award

Austin, TX – The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (“ICIC”) named Amerisource Funding, Inc. to its prestigious “Texas Inner City 10” list, which recognizes “Excellence in Urban Business”. In a ceremony at Austin City Hall, Mayor Will Wynn and ICIC senior vice president Manjari Raman presented the award to Amerisource. The event was sponsored by Banc of America Capital and the Austin Chamber of Commerce.

“Led by some of today’s most creative entrepreneurs, the Inner City 100 has shown the nation how the advantages of inner cities, such as diverse workforces and strategic locations, can combine to create explosive growth,” said David G. Latimore, president and CEO of ICIC. “Their success has led to innovative investment programs, they’ve helped blaze a path for others, and they’re providing enormous stimulus for change in their communities. We’re thrilled to be celebrating the companies that bring growth to inner cities in the Lone Star State.”
