D. Michael Monk, Managing Partner of Amerisource Funding, Named Commercial Finance Association First Vice President
NEW YORK – The Commercial Finance Association (CFA) announced its new Executive and Management Committees for 2017. The Committees, comprised of key leaders in the commercial finance industry, will guide the Association, make policy decisions, confirm new members and provide advocacy, education and thought leadership for the industry.
D. Michael Monk, Managing Partner of Amerisource Funding since 1998, will serve as CFA First Vice President.
“It’s a great honor to serve as First Vice President of CFA’s Management Committee this year. The CFA continues to have a tremendous impact on the commercial finance industry, and the programs and events just keep getting better. I’m looking forward to another great year.”
Mr. Monk has been a member of the Commercial Finance Association since 1996, has served on its National Board of Directors since 1999, and is a past president of CFA’s Houston Chapter.
Mr. Monk graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in the Honors Business Program with majors in both Finance and Marketing. He also received his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992.
Mr. Monk serves on a number of private boards of directors and is involved with numerous trade associations and charitable organizations.

Founded in 1944, the Commercial Finance Association is the international trade group of the asset-based lending, factoring and supply chain finance industries, with nearly 300 member organizations throughout the U.S., Canada and around the world. CFA provides education, networking opportunities and industry advocacy on a domestic and international basis to the commercial finance community.
